The fireplace is clad in Modular Arts wall tile, painted in Sherwin-Williams’ Seaworthy, was designed to fit a flat-screen television. IT’S SHOWTIME

Interior designer Stephanie Merryman created a sapele-paneled wall in the living area for added warmth as well as for more practical reasons: The paneling hides a television that’s revealed when an Eclipse vertical art lift from Media Decor raises the Deborah Bigeleisen painting. Merryman then chose white-leather Henredon lounge chairs for a contemporary look and added a chrome-chain side table from Windsor Smith Home for a nautical touch. The Fibreworks jute rug is from Flor Source.

Interior designers Laila Colvin and Rafaela Simoes worked with warm wood and earthy tones to reflect their client’s Brazilian roots. Sliding oak panels manufactured by Da-Vinci Designs bring texture to the living room while concealing the television. A deep orange suede covers a vintage-inspired armchair purchased at One of a Kind.

The great room functions for both entertaining and everyday living thanks to abundant seating including twin Aiden chairs, a Morado Curves club chair–all by Theodore Alexander–and a Thayer Coggin sectional. A painting by local artist Will Day is rigged on a sliding system to screen the television when not in use.

Underneath the television in the family room, Macumber’s Home Maintenance Services replaced a concrete mantel with a walnut shelf. Next to it, designer Joanna Gick designed the doors of the built-in cabinet, which was fabricated by Quality Custom Home Interiors. The armchair is RH, the coffee table is Brownstone, and the sectional is Vanguard. A Surya rug grounds the space, while Robert Allen fabric makes up the draperies.

The color of the kitchen’s structural steel I-beam inspired the room’s finishes, which include dark Porcelanosa cabinets and counter stools upholstered with an inviting gray wool fabric. Arteriors’ Garrison Cylindrical pendants add a warm touch to the cool mix. Stanley, a labradoodle named for the Stanley Cup, takes it all in.

MODERN TWIST

Game Spirit by 2 Alas adorns an Opustone limestone wall near Poliform’s Mondrian sectional, topped with Missoni Home pillows. An ottoman by Casa Dio and an Interlude Home side table sit on a Niba Designs rug.

Designer Meg Lonergan calls the media room’s custom Randy Twaddle Studio rug from Carol Piper Rugs “one of my proudest design moments–it’s an unusual color combination that goes against natural instincts but works brilliantly.” Also unexpected is her combination of a lacquered wood coffee table, vintage Italian chandelier in the Stilnovo style, Mokum draperies from Holly Hunt and an H.G. Edwards painting.

A pair of equally vibrant accent pillows covered in Romo fabric punctuates a cozy gray palette composed of a Baker sofa in Cameron linen velvet, a Century Furniture club chair wearing Brunschwig & Fils linen, a Ferrell Mittman armchair covered in Chivasso performance fabric and a leather-upholstered cocktail ottoman by Bjork Studio.

Vrieling Architectural built the custom walnut media wall, and Petrucci opened the room to the garden by swapping a solid wall for glass.
