SLEEK BLUE CABINET INTERIORS
In a departure from the stylishly updated Craftsman style that defines the rest of a Huntington Beach home by architect Jeffrey A. MANY SHADES OF BLACK
A graphic black-and-white palette makes for an eye-catching kitchen inside a Seattle home renovated by designer Jules Thomas and builder Klaus Toth. Seattle Cabinet & Design fabricated the glass-fronted lacquered cabinetry, which features bronze-and-nickel trim by Metal Solutions. The understated marble countertops are from Architectural Stone Workes and the Ann Sacks backsplash is custom-made. The texture of the runner, a custom piece from Holland & Sherry, balances the sleek feel of the rest of the space. (Tour the home)

POOL HOUSE FUN
The pool house’s fun interior is geared for the kids, says Post. THE NEW BLACK

Pulls are from Liz’s Antique Hardware in Los Angeles; fixtures are by Circa Lighting. A Designers Guild runner leads to a custom table by McIntyre surrounded by Hickory Chair barstools. The artwork is by Joe Andoe. (Tour the home)
BATHED IN NATURAL LIGHT
Relocated from a windowless room in the center of the house, the new kitchen is fitted in Italian Snaidero USA cabinets sheathed in teak. A NanaWall folding glass wall system opens the space. Continuity within the home is achieved by using the same terrazzo tile flooring and white wall treatments throughout. (Tour the home)
A NOD TO THE PAST
Mexican tile lines the natural stone counters in the kitchen, where the existing Shaker-style cabinetry received a fresh coat of blue paint. A trio of Ironware International pendants, from John Brooks Incorporated, illuminates a table fashioned from an antique wood door and locally handcrafted benches, both from Antique Warehouse.
