3 Showrooms Worth Visiting During Design Chicago

Details

Design Chicago is underway and with it comes the opportunity for visitors and locals alike to experience the best of the city’s design offerings. Two showroom remodels in the Merchandise Mart–Brizo and Delta Faucet and Scott Group Studio–as well as the launch of Clive Christian’s luxury showroom in River North, are just a few examples of the latest buzz-worthy spaces in the area.

1. Brizo and Delta Faucet On Sept. 19, the fittings and faucets companies opened a sleek, lab-like remodeled showroom in the Merchandise Mart that offers guests an interactive experience. Screen displays demonstrate the brands’ touch technologies, while visual storyboards tell about the inspiration behind each Brizo collection.

This showroom is also the only one in the MART to offer live plumbing and quick-connect capabilities, allowing customers to try showerheads on site.

2. Scott Group Studio The luxury carpet brand chose to ring in the opening of its completely transformed space during Design Chicago. The showroom has been upgraded to include multiple work stations, a presentation space and a hospitality area. The featured collection will rotate on a regular basis.

Currently on view is its Basho (Japanese for “place”) collection, which explores the different organic approaches and ideals of creating peaceful places.

3. Clive Christian Lifestyle Apartment As the name indicates, this Clive Christian space, which opened in mid-September, is more than a typical furniture showroom. The 6,000-square-foot penthouse contains $2.5 million of Clive Christian-fitted furniture, $1 million of Crestron’s home automation, $1 million of Dorya’s fine furnishings and $750,000 worth of luxury lighting by Baccarat. Pierre Frey Fabrics, Christopher Guy mirrors and artwork by Chicago’s Richard Norton Gallery add to to the glam factor.
