On the loggia, cushions in a Perennials material top outdoor furnishings from Brown Jordan’s Venetian collection. The pillows are made of Janus et Cie’s Semiramis fabric and Perennials’ Slubby textile in Hotsy Totsy. The Parsons coffee table by McKinnon and Harris is in the center of the grouping.

TEAK TIME

Designer Summer Thornton placed the couple’s teak table and chairs on a larger section of the terrace to create an outdoor dining room. During the warm-weather months, the couple and their family can often be found here. But even on the coldest days of winter, homeowner Patty Fox says, “Psychologically, it makes a difference just to be able to gaze out over the space, even if it’s covered in snow.”

Landscape designer Chris Turner and his team added wood slats to the dining pergola’s steel frame to lend warmth to the outdoor space. The dining table and chairs are from RH Modern. A Hubbardton Forge chandelier provides illumination for after-hours dining. The homeowners brought in the playful fiberglass duck statue by Gold Leaf Design for their young daughter. The architectural lighting is by Wallinger.

Off the living area, the team replaced two pairs of French doors with a set of folding Luxbaum doors that open to the back porch. “This creates a seamless transition from the inside out,” residential designer Guillermo Orozco says. Designer Joe Nahem surrounded the clients’ dining table with side and armchairs from Dedon’s AIIR line.
