This year, Hampton celebrates 20 years as the owner and president of interior design firm Mark Hampton, founded by her father. From New York to Hangzhou, China, Hampton has lend her discerning eye to chic urban apartments and country homes. She’s also penned critically-acclaimed design tomes, The Language of Interior Design and Decorating in Detail.
Here, she shares her early experiences learning the industry alongside her father, and opens up about taking the reins of his prestigious firm–continuing his legacy while developing a voice all her own.
