Owners Susan Alexander and Laurie Marchant continue to grow their business, Alexander Marchant, with the exciting expansion of their Austin showrooms.

The company’s newly minted space in Austin’s Brentwood area, centrally located at 1617 W. Koenig Lane, officially opened its doors to customers in May, becoming the latest addition to the brand’s family of showrooms, which also include locales in Downtown Austin and San Antonio.

What stands out about this new location is the structure itself: It’s a light-filled 3,800-square-foot, two-story building specially selected by Alexander and Marchant with the goal of transforming it into a “jewel box” space that offers a highly curated selection of architectural hardware, plumbing fixtures, specialty lighting, furniture pieces, surface slab and tile, and bath accessories.

Having passed by the formerly empty building on numerous occasions, Alexander and Marchant had kept a collective eye on it until one day they noticed a For Sale sign pop up on the property. With the aim of creating showrooms that foster ideas and inspiration and build connections, they moved forward with the purchase and then brought on designer Kasey McCarty and builder Paul Balmuth to help bring their vision to life.

With two Austin showrooms, Alexander Marchant now boasts ample space for a robust service and logistics operation to support its expert sales team. Patrons can set up a time to meet with one of the company’s expert project managers, there to provide guidance through the design and specification process. Appointments are encouraged but not required.
