Artemest Galleria, a 5,000-square-foot gallery and creative space by online marketplace Artemest, opens in West Chelsea.

Take in the luxury of fine Italian craftsmanship in-person at Artemest’s newest venture: Artemest Galleria. This month, the online furniture marketplace opened its first gallery space, located in Manhattan’s West Chelsea neighborhood.

As more companies seek to create outside-the-box showroom experiences, Artemest Galleria, too, aims to give both members of the design trade and tastemakers the opportunity to experience the brand’s carefully curated selections through engaging exhibitions, displays and workshop sessions.

The 5,000-square-foot space, located at 518 West 19th Street, includes a gallery, as well as project room, sample room and garden—all places where patrons can peruse a selection of the brand’s latest offerings and collections.

“We want Artemest Galleria to be a space where we can exhibit beautifully made home decor, furniture and lighting by our network of 1,400 Italian artists. A place where we can give life to pieces that interpret traditional maker culture through a contemporary sense,” says Artemest Founder and Creative Director Ippolita Rostagno.

In addition to featuring a rotating schedule of curated exhibitions (starting with “BLOW,” a spotlight on Murano glassblowers by multi-displinary artist Bradley Theodore, running through January 2023), Artemest Galleria houses collaborative space for designers, architects and private client to review ongoing projects.

“We want Artemest Galleria to be a space for experimentation, enjoyment and surprise for our community,” Rostagno adds.
