The Insider: Beth Buccini

When you hire Steven Gambrel to design your boutique tucked into The Royal Poinciana Plaza, only high-gloss walls, custom de Gournay wallpaper, chic black-and-white flooring and a red cash wrap will do–at least for owner Beth Buccini, anyway. For the latest outpost of her store, Kirna Zabete, Buccini and Gambrel imagined a space filled with its own personality. “Steven and I embraced the opportunity to create a unique experience in Palm Beach,” says Buccini. “I just absolutely loved the design process with him. He takes my ideas and then elevates them about 100 times.” Inside, a punchy neon sign, displays worthy of double takes and a velvet banquette within the shoe salon are just a few of the touches that set the stage for namesake designers such as Adam Lippes, Borgo De Nor, Monse, Sies Marjan, Re/Done and Haney. Here, Buccini shares what’s bringing her joy in Palm Beach, a town that holds a special place in her heart.

For the art aficionados: My friend, Blair Clarke of Voltz Clarke Gallery in New York, debuted a pop-up art series at The Colony Palm Beach hotel in its pavilion. She recently had a show with Natasha Law, whom I love so much. We have two of her pieces in our store now.

If you’re in need of retail therapy head to… Hive Home, Gift & Garden, Mary Mahoney and, of course, Mecox Gardens.

Best bites: One of my favorite parts of Palm Beach is all the amazing restaurants. I love the Salmone Scozzese at Sant Ambroeus, the chicken kale Caesar salad at The Honor Bar, the Penne Aumm, Aumm at La Sirena, and the Chicken Cordon Bleu Slider at Buccan.

Inside scoop: One of my all-time favorite stores from Italy, 100% Capri, is about to open at The Royal Poinciana Plaza. The owner, Antonio Aiello, has the very best bed linens and glass accessories.
