If this collaboration is any indication of how the year will delight us in the realm of made-in-America products, then we have a lot to look forward to.

Luxury carpet brand Scott Group Studio has teamed up with Billy Cotton to create the renown design professional’s first rug collection — and it’s as impressive as you’d expect.

Cotton, a Brooklyn-based multi-hyphen talent, is known his effortless cool-meets-traditional interiors, his product lines of furniture, lighting, and tableware, and most recently, his new position as the creative director of Ralph Lauren Home.

Launched this month, his Billy Cotton Collection features six unique designs. The concise yet diverse selection is intended to appeal to a wide range of tastes. Hibiscus, a sweet and traditional floral, is inspired by a rug in Scott Group Studio’s archive; Kado is the collection’s most contemporary style; Tracery’s sleek grid nods to Cotton’s Bauhaus training; while Tortoise Shell pays homage to his appreciation for English objects made of the material.

No doubt ensuring a memorable debut, the collection was photographed in the historic Brookby House in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Scott Group Studio is headquartered and proudly operates its 40-year-old business.

The property’s rich interiors provide an ideal backdrop to the varying designs, thus showcasing how the pieces can fit in varying environments.
