Designer Christine Markatos Lowe bathed this Los Angeles bathroom in variations of blue. “My client had spent time in Morocco while studying abroad in Paris during college and was open to that vibe,” explains the designer. “She loves strong color and wanted to shake up the traditional look of her Georgian home.” Here, Markatos Lowe began with the Moroccan tile flooring, and its ombre effect inspired the striped pattern on the tile wall. As in the baths on the following spaces, a thoughtful application of color was the key to success.
