Luxe previews three new projects that exemplify the spirit and natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
VISTA NORTH PEARL

Designed by Bora Architects–also responsible for the neighboring Cosmopolitan tower–Vista North Pearl, opening later this fall, will be the final project to punctuate the blocks encircling Portland’s popular Fields Park. Since extensive outdoor space is a luxury for urban living, Vista has incorporated plenty of it–from individual decks to a lush landscaped rooftop with views of the Willamette River, the West Hills and Mount Hood–as well as an on-site bike shop and yoga studio. Ground-level units are dedicated to bustling retail opportunities, while the facade of the upper levels alternates light and dark cement panels to enhance the natural sun and shadow play throughout the day.
ARRIVE

Part hotel, part residential and part ground-floor retail space, Arrive is checking all the boxes of what successful, modern projects should look like. What’s more impressive, however, is the hotel’s classic fusion of both past and future into a single building. Highly urban and nestled between Amazon’s forthcoming headquarters and Seattle’s historic Cinerama, firm Weber Thompson Architects is creating a dynamic space for people to live and work. With interiors spearheaded by Hirsch Bedner Associates, known for stunning hospitality designs, Arrive is set to open its doors in early 2019.
ASCENT

Seattle is a long-standing hub for innovation and technological advancement, and Weber Thompson Architects’ latest foray into luxurious living fits the bill. Rising up this fall in South Lake Union, adjacent to Amazon’s new headquarters, Ascent will be “an architectural tribute to the ones and zeros that make our digital lives possible.” The tech-savvy crowd will love amenities such as Nest and Alexa-powered window shades and lighting. Plus, on the facade a red vertical ribbon of neon lights leads the eyes from the ground level up a black-and-white grid-like exterior toward the rooftop deck.
