Designers Tara Mangini and Percy Bright of Jersey Ice Cream Company specified this kitchen within an apartment-like suite in Philadelphia’s Lokal Hotel with simple lines and Shaker-style millwork inspired by its surroundings. The kitchen also pairs light plaster walls with darker bottom cabinets to great effect as a nod to colorways of centuries past. “Design-wise, we took as many cues as we could from the historic neighborhood, one rich in American manufacturing history and beautiful late-19th-century buildings,” explains Bright.
