When Sallyann Corn and Joe Kent of Seattle-based design shop Fruitsuper first saw Portland glassblower Gary Bodker’s jewel-toned wares at a trade show years ago, they were in awe. “I walked by Gary’s booth and his glassware stopped me in my tracks,” says Corn. “His shapes are classic but updated in a beautifully elegant, simple way.”
After years of admiration, Bodker’s designs are finally making an appearance at Fruitsuper, with the shop offering a curated collection of his carafe sets, bright coral glassware and vibrant Little Gem bud vases.
“Fruitsuper excels at designing and showcasing unfussy products that prize form and function, which is exactly what I strive for in my work,” says Bodker. “Our pairing feels like it was meant to be.”
