Architect Barbara Bestor and designer Frances Merrill wove bespoke details into a contemporary Bend, Oregon, house. In the living room, the same V-groove hemlock appears on the ceiling and wall as on the face of the built-ins. A commissioned Janelle Pietrzak hanging contrasts with the custom Stark carpet.
