San Marino has welcomed Hollis, a new showroom from Mik Hollis, son of venerable Pasadena antiques dealer Susanne Hollis.

Taking the reins following his mother’s retirement, Hollis is modernizing the nearly 40-year-old business with a Mission Street location that offers European and Asian antiques as well as contemporary pieces. “We’re highlighting the best of what we do, plus accessories and pillows,” says Hollis.

A new warehouse is also forthcoming “for designers who want to do some deep digging,” he says. Included will be the firm’s revered crafts studios, which provide restoration services as well as custom pieces for designers such as Michael S. Smith and Ken Fulk.

“Furniture is in our blood,” Hollis says. “These two spaces—retail and trade—will allow us to share our aesthetic and better serve each client.”
