The design industry descended upon Las Vegas for the much-anticipated Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), where brands from around the world showcase their latest and greatest kitchen and bath products to the market. This year, the event, held February 25-27, saw a record turnout of vendors and visitors and delivered on innovation and creativity that indicates we have an exciting year ahead. From color trends to strides in sustainability, here are the kitchen and bath trends we predict will be big for 2024.

Kitchen + Bath Color Trends Show Green Is King

Move over, all-white bathrooms—Kohler is on a mission to bring color into the home with its growing Heritage Colors Collection. Launched in 2023 to celebrate the brand’s 150th anniversary with cheery shades Peachblow and Spring Green, the collection is expanding into more fun options borrowed from the brand’s colorful archive of over 100 original hues. This year, it was all about green with three new verdant hues: Fresh Green (shown above), Aspen Green, and Teal, proving the recent popularity of the natural shade is not just a fad, but rather, a staple. The three new colors are available on sinks, baths and toilets.
New Technology Brings AI To The Kitchen

Leading the way in kitchen technology, Signature Kitchen Suite rolled out its 30-inch Professional Speed Oven, which is sure to help even a novice home chef get dinner right—with a little help from AI technology. The all-in-one product doubles as a microwave and an air fryer, and it can offer a Speed Cook and broil mode. Plus, through its Wifi capabilities, cooks can use the ThinQ Care app to control the oven with a few clicks. The app can recognize foods placed inside the appliance and allows users to adjust the settings to ensure a perfectly done dish.

All faucets are not created equal, and if there were a gleaming takeaway from KBIS, it’s that the nuances on fixtures certainly do not go unnoticed to the discerning eye. Rather, those small yet mighty details add to the aesthetic story of the kitchen space. Take House of Rohl’s new Apothecary line designed with Xander Noori. Inspired by the old-world feel of apothecary bottles, House of Rohl’s suite of faucets boasts chamfered details and beveled edges reminiscent of a nostalgic collectible.
Statement Tile Is Everywhere

While the grid pattern is certainly hot at the moment, polka dots are not too far behind. But more importantly, large-scale tiled patterns are growing in popularity and demand. Case in point: Designer Michelle Gerson teamed up with Artistic Tile for a collection of stone designs that are bold and impactful—and whose use is encouraged beyond the kitchen and bath (think: entryways, feature walls). Who needs art when you have bold tile to do all the talking?
Holistic Sustainability Is The Way Forward

Ever the buzzword, sustainability is top of minds for everyone in the design industry. Monogram is on a mission to make it easy to design an eco-conscious kitchen, and effectively, live in a Net-Zero home.
