No matter the season, it’s easy to find inspiration among the 16 acres of tranquil gardens, diverse sculptures and artfully designed landscapes at LongHouse Reserve. With the peak of summer behind us, the East Hampton institution is offering visitors three enjoyable ways to zen out and embrace nature. From morning meditation in the forest to sound bathing sessions on the grass, mark your calendar for these serene happenings.

Tumbleweed Tuesday 

Embrace the (unofficial) change of seasons like a local. Stroll through the gardens sans the crowds on Sept. 6, as the property marks of the end of summer busy season. Gardens will be open for complimentary entry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Wellness at LongHouse Reserve

Heal your mind and body with transformative group meditation like Sound Baths or Forest Bathing at the LongHouse Reserve. Practice deep breathing among bamboo trees, or join a sound and silence session on weekends until Oct. 1.

Cheng Tsung Feng Art Installation

Take in the beauty of artist Cheng Tsung Feng’s human-scale bamboo pavilion and art installation. Inspired by traditional Taiwanese fishing traps, the bamboo design captures the essence of Feng’s local fishing community. The sculpture, which is partially built from LongHouse-grown bamboo, is on display through December.
