It turns out the same man who croons about American women and the desire to fly away also has an eye for design. Lenny Kravitz’s namesake firm, Kravitz Design, is responsible for the interiors of a new condominium in NoLIta: 75 Kenmare. The building, expected to be completed in late 2018, is the singer’s first full design commission–but those expecting a typical rock ‘n’ roll leather style should look elsewhere. Partnering with architect Andre Kikoski, Kravitz injected each of the 38 units with clean lines and sophisticated materials such as marble kitchen countertops, travertine bathroom walls and white-oak flooring. In addition to its rock-star status, 75 Kenmare will also boast amenities like a garage with sliding platforms that maneuver cars into storage spaces.
