When did you open? The grand opening of our showroom at 180 Johnson St. in downtown Middletown, Connecticut, was April 2016.
Why Middletown? We have a 20-year body of work as a high-quality custom upholstery shop here, and the renovation of the Remington Rand factory was an attractive option for us to be a part of the new development of businesses. Middletown is a thriving city that has been building momentum through the years, and we are proud to be here.
On the floor: Oak & Velvet specializes in handcrafted, high-quality upholstered furniture. Having our showroom directly above our 10,000-square-foot workshop not only allows us to build the furniture of our clients’ dreams but also gives designers the opportunity to be part of the process from start to finish. We mix old-world craftsmanship with new ideas to create modern-day comfort.
