“Modern Forms never dips a toe in the water. We love going big,” says Shelley Wald, president of WAC Lighting, the parent company of the Port Washington-based lighting brand.
One way Modern Forms is going big this year is by launching its first smart ceiling fan. “We have 27 one-of-a-kind styles, and the entire line is connected to an easy-to-use app that adapts to your routine and reduces energy costs,” Wald says.
Its newest lighting offerings, too, “are bigger and bolder than before to reflect the latest expectations of the luxury design community,” she adds–like an industrial piece that mimics a high-tech helicopter rotor, the joint-adjustable Catalyst chandelier (shown) and the Kinetic LED piece, which has a gyroscope-inspired openwork globe that features movable arms for a custom look and feel.
