Porcelain has long been prized as a versatile and durable material for everything from tableware to tile, but it’s only recently been embraced by the design and construction industries as an alternative to slabs of natural or man-made stone. Leading that shift is Moderno Porcelain Works, which revolutionized the process of fabricating and installing large-format porcelain upon its debut in 2019.

Now, the material’s potential is on full display at the company’s first Colorado showroom and fabrication shop, a 4,250-square-foot space in northeast Denver. There, countless slabs (as well as countertop, flooring and wall installations) show off the material’s varied residential and commercial applications—and its striking natural beauty.
