Pillows and loose trimming ribbons by Samuel & Sons

Samuel & Sons, the industry’s go-to source for trimmings, has called on celebrated designer Timothy Corrigan—a passementerie expert in his own right—to renovate its New York flagship. Revamped for the first time since its 1998 opening, the brand’s D&D Building-adjacent brownstone space will better accommodate customers browsing its more than 10,000 tassels, borders, braids and fringes.

“Our New York town house holds special meaning,” brand president Michael Cohen says. “We strived to maintain the heritage of the original showroom.” Shoppers will recognize the existing wood cabinetry and Crema Marfil marble floors, surrounded by cleaner lines, improved lighting and additional seating and displays for an even more luxe visit.

A perfect project for Corrigan, who, in his own words, is “continually inspired by Samuel & Sons’ ability to innovate and provide the ultimate showroom experience for their customers.”
