Textile artist and author of Living With Pattern Rebecca Atwood is launching her first bedding collection this week.

From her hand-painted designs to the adorable packaging in which shipments arrive, the Brooklyn-based artist’s products are known for being highly personal. And her new collection is no different.

Like all of her items, the line — which includes cotton percale and linen duvets, coverlets, knit throws and embroidered pillowcases — are inspired by Atwood’s commitment to self-care and helping her clients and customers create homes that serve as their sanctuaries.

The evidence is in the names: “Cloud Series: Sleep in the sky,” “Ocean Series: Relax by the surf,” and “Sun Series: Feel the glow,” and more.

Although Atwood’s textiles are available at showrooms across the county, as well as in London, she’s taking a more small-batch approach this time around. In an effort to control the way the collection is displayed to consumers, the bedding line will only be available on her website.

Check out the products below, and shop it live on rebeccaatwood.com. Plus, get to know the woman behind the designs in our rapid-fire Q&A below.

What’s your sleep routine?

My bedtime routine is pretty simple. I always try and remember to stretch before bed, but truthfully, it doesn’t usually happen. (Note to self: Do this more!) I’ll brush my teeth and then wash my face with Tata Harper’s Nourishing Oil Cleanser, and then apply face oil and eye cream. My sister recently gave me a bottle of Vintner’s Daughter, which is a splurge, but it’s been amazing for my winter skin. After that, I usually use a thick body cream on my feet, hands and elbows because my skin is dry. I also always apply some Rosebud Salve to my lips. If I’m not completely ready to fall asleep, I’ll pick up a book.

What are three items you always have on your nightstand?

I always have a stack of books. Right now that includes Financial Intelligence, Powerful, and The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. I also always have Rosebud Salve, a glass of water, and cat treats for my two puffs.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I am definitely an early bird.

What’s your ideal breakfast?

I’ve eaten the same breakfast for over 20 years: toast and peanut butter. I also have to have my cup of coffee in the morning.

My ultimate dream home would not be complete without…

A big bathtub! I love to take baths and someday will have a nice big bathroom with a big tub.

Tell us a bit about your new store.

We’re still figuring out so much, but I am very excited about it. The store will be in Nolita on Mott Street between Broome and Kenmare. I’m working with [my] good friend Kate Hamilton Gray on the design for the space. (She’s currently a designer at Studio DB.) She’s really talented and has been helping me navigate creating a space that reflects our story. I’m really excited that we’ll be able to offer more to our customer with this space. We’ll be there to help with pattern-mixing and inspiring our customer to create a space that is personal and beautiful. Come visit us this spring!
