Moving to a new office space is not something Austin-based Dick Clark + Associates took lightly. “When Dick Clark Architecture moved to the Warehouse District in 1995, Dick was a pioneer of the neighborhood and really helped define it as we know it today,” explains principal partner Mark Vornberg. “Developing this office was a great opportunity for us to have a similar impact on the East 7th Street Corridor.” While maintaining the shell of the two-story structure—previously a pawn shop—the firm incorporated floor-to-ceiling glass windows and a mezzanine and common roof deck above. The resulting 10,310 square feet of interior office space focuses on natural light and adding more collaborative areas and flexibility. “I think Dick would be very proud of the work we accomplished with this building and the next chapter in our life,” Vornberg says. dcarch.com
