RJD Gallery Gets A Fresh Start In Bridgehampton

Design News

RJD Gallery was in the perfect location–right next to the legendary Sag Harbor Cinema. But when the cinema’s fire destroyed the building, the gallery had to rethink its future, which included a move to Bridgehampton.

“We knocked out walls, put in new floors and lights, and created a place that really reflects the high quality of the art,” says owner Richard Demato.

Collectors can now explore four gallery spaces to easily discover pieces such as Jacques Le Bescond’s Clair Obscur (above).

“Before you saw so much at once,” says gallery director Eve Gianni Corio. “It was overwhelming.”

On view in July and August: “Girl Next Door,” with works by Rachel Moseley and Katie O’Hagan, and Andrea Kowch‘s “Into the Wind.”

RJD Gallery is located at 2385 Main Street, Bridgehampton, New York.
