WHO: Erin Tole and Ryan Phillips, whose account first chronicled their Vancouver Craftsman renovation, now showcases Tole’s eclectic thrift store finds displayed among her forest of plants.

WHAT: By collecting (and swapping) vintage treasures and tending to a seemingly endless array of houseplants throughout the 5,000-square-foot space, Tole’s posts illustrate the perpetual evolution of their home, from major renovation to lugging a beloved fiddle-leaf fig wherever it will thrive best next.

WHY: Tole rejects the idea that one need subscribe to a single design influence. A “hesitant maximalist,” she believes anyone drawn to a variety of styles can weave cohesion into their eclectic visions.

IN HER WORDS: “I’m a sucker for nostalgia. I have a hard time saying no to things that make me think of my maternal grandmother. She and my mother are responsible for my love of plants, brass and books.”
