WHO: With roots in Virginia and Arkansas, Heather Chadduck Hillegas studied fine arts at the Sorbonne in Paris, then moved to Birmingham in 2004. She’s a photo stylist, proven tastemaker and an avid traveler currently taking on Southeast Asia.

WHAT: Combining antiques, patterns and judicious color, Chadduck Hillegas’ interiors have a timeless, approachable quality. Her to-the-trade textiles, hand-printed on Belgian linen, are sold in six showrooms worldwide.

WHY: With a background in magazine publishing and a husband in editorial and fine-art photography, she appreciates the power of strong imagery—a fact that’s evident in her refined and inviting Instagram feed.

IN HER WORDS: “We launched a new fabric in April, Thistleton, named for my aunt’s farm in Virginia and the prickly flowering plants that pepper the mountains. It’s a muted large-scale print on linen, tea-dyed for a vintage look. I can’t wait to see it as drapery or upholstered on a wing chair!”
