3 New York Design Projects With Spaces Worth Cozying Up In
Design firms talk to Luxe about their latest projects throughout New York City.
CHARLIE WEST
“The interiors at Charlie West really transport you to another place. It has a relaxed vibe, but a very sophisticated palette. From the lounge-y lobby with its sumptuous natural materials and dark urban tones to the scenic pool with its relaxing spa-like feel, one could easily be in a boutique hotel in Miami rather than a luxury condominium in Hell’s Kitchen.”
–Andres Escobar, partner and design principal, Lemay + Escobar
77 GREENWICH
“For the interior design of 77 Greenwich, we crafted a visual journey that takes the homeowner from the bustling streets of Lower Manhattan to the tranquil, light-filled homes above, culminating in a spectacular shared garden at the top. The airiness of the residences and amenity spaces we created allowed us to emphasize the spectacular panoramic views shared by everyone in the building.”
–Stephen Brockman, partner, Deborah Berke Partners
168 PLYMOUTH
“168 Plymouth is made up of two seminal building types with new penthouse additions on top. This penthouse sits above the Brick & Timber Round Arch style structure, which was built by Masury & Sons Paintworks in 1891. As one of the last loft conversions in Dumbo, it was important for us to protect the unique character and feel of the buildings when designing the penthouses.”
