Nature Inspired Patterns and Colors for a Relaxing Soothing Bathroom

I always ask my clients, ‘What color are you willing to marry? What color do you gravitate to or are comfortable wearing?’ And that gives me a very good direction on the color we will be using. As for pattern, I think any nature-inspired pattern is the most soothing and relaxing for a bathroom. I love botanicals!

Bold Earth Tones: Richly Stained Walnut and Patterned Marble

I love this deep green with richly stained walnut and patterned marble. My client was initially unsure about the boldness of the green, but he is so happy with the result. I told him that anyone can have a white bathroom, so why not push the envelope?

Edgy, Bold, and Unapologetic Bathroom Wallpaper

Most people feel comfortable making the biggest ‘bam’ in a powder bathroom. It’s like a little jewel box where they can let it all out. So, I’ll either sneak a peek at their closet to see what colors and prints they gravitate toward, or I’ll take inspiration from one of my favorite pieces in my own closet. In this case here, my client dresses as edgy, bold and unapologetic as this snake wallpaper against high-gloss black with gold accents.

Beautiful Neutral Color Bathroom Palettes: Color and Texture

We are seeing a move away from only using neutral color palettes in bathrooms–especially in powder and guest baths. Homeowners want to add personality to their homes and adding color and texture is a great way to activate the room and create visual interest. We love using fun wall coverings, colorful tile and even dramatic mirrors to create these moments. Ann Sacks offers an endlessly diverse selection of tile, perfect for any style or need.

White, Gold, and Bold Colors: Neutral Tones for a Spa-Like Vibe

Small powder bathrooms and primary bathrooms can differ in the sense that with powder rooms one can have a lot more fun and flexibility and go wild and be bold. Primary baths still tend to be lighter and more neutral colors for sense of space and spa-like vibe. Whites, golds and blacks are amazing in a bath especially when mixed in with amazing marble or tile work!
