Dazzling Bathrooms With Spellbinding Veining Sure To Entrance
Up the luxe factor of any bathroom with hypnotic veining sure to transfix. Let these dazzling spaces illustrate how quality materials make all the difference.
SURF AND TURF
The marble that lines the walls of the main bathroom’s shower seems to mimic the waves visible through the window at this California residence. Waterworks mosaic tile covers the floor, and P.E. Guerin fittings make the area functional and beautiful.
CLASSIC CLEAN
Carrara tile flooring flows up the wall in the serene main bathroom, where the tub and vanity were already in place in a Palm Beach County vacation home. Kravet’s Shun stool and a Roman shade made of China Seas’ Raffles material in Shrimp add texture. Designer Kristen Rivoli hung the clients’ artwork against walls painted Benjamin Moore Parchment.
STIR IT UP
A coffee station in the primary bathroom means the couple can ease into their mornings without going downstairs. Waterworks field tile, White Beauty marble countertops from New York Stone, White Cliff Mediterranean porcelain tile on the floor and Cheviot’s freestanding Balmoral cast-iron tub lend a European flair.
DARK MATTER
An ebonized slatted wall and a custom marble vanity are featured in the powder room. A Split mirror by Lee Broom hangs above the vanity and reflects Fayce wallpaper as well as a Don Voisine artwork. Pendants by Allied Maker and a Kallista faucet complete the space.
PERFECT PAIR
Breccia Capraia marble from Opustone Stone and Tile Concepts pairs with Clé’s zellige wall tiles and Hex flooring in the main bathroom, home to a Kohler tub and Watermark faucet from Maison & Co. The custom cabinetry shows off round brass Schoolhouse pulls.
BIG IMPACT
A brass mirror attributed to Gio Ponti from Leclaireur adorns the powder room featuring a Brett Design wallpaper from Harbinger and custom flush-mount sconces from Lumfardo. Black stone from Modul Marble forms the vanity, which is inset with Graff taps from Renaissance Design Studio.
FOCAL POINT
Designer Parrish Chilcoat hand-selected the main bathroom’s spectacular Breccia Capraia marble from Architectural Surfaces, formerly Modul Marble, in Sun Valley, California, and used it as a surround for the tub featuring Kallista hardware.
THAT’S A WRAP
Imagined as “masculine, luxurious and decadent,” says Designer Robert Rionda, the master bath is encased in Opustone silver egeo marble, illuminated by Italian brass sconces sourced from Michel Contessa. The cast stone soaking tub and double shower are situated to bathe in natural light.
IN FRAME
The main bathroom—anchored by a pair of bronze-and-glass shower enclosures—is one of the only spaces the design team overhauled completely. A Santorini copper tub by Native Trails and Waterworks tub filler stand atop Bianco Carrara herringbone tile, while a Fenwater pendant from Hudson Valley Lighting shimmers above.
ARTFUL ADDITION
“My style can be super funky sometimes,” says designer Rebecca Salcito, who fell in love with the rich purple veins that run through the Nero Marquina marble in the master bath. She chose the contemporary soaking tub by Apaiser because it looks like a piece of art.
ALL INCLUSIVE
In the main bathroom are a Blu Bathworks soaking tub and a glass-enclosed shower by AAA Glass World Industries. To link the spaces, the designers used the same Marble of the World stone flooring and Caesarstone marble walls throughout, along with a suite of chrome Dornbracht fixtures from Designer’s Plumbing & Hardware.
