Dynamic duos come in many varieties. These two showcase how collaboration can double the fun.
Bruno and Pietro Bacchi of Artefacto
Brazilian design brand Artefacto opened its New York showroom last year, thanks to the efforts of brothers and co-CEOs of Artefacto New York, Bruno and Pietro Bacchi. The twins are the third generation of family leadership for the company, which was founded by their grandfather, Albino Bacchi, and then led by their father, Paulo Bacchi, who is now the global CEO. “We learned the ropes the same way our dad did: We started doing very basic stuff like repairs and deliveries,” Bruno shares. “We worked our way up to be able to understand the entirety of the business.” Today, Pietro focuses on marketing and collaborating with designers while Bruno covers logistics, manufacturing and warehouse operations. Given that the company does everything from design to production to in-house delivery—and that they’ve recently started developing branded residential buildings, too—there’s plenty of work for the family to share.
Josh Wiener of SilverLining and Eve Robinson of Eve Robinson Associates
This long-married power couple each have their own company. Josh Wiener founded SilverLining shortly after graduating from college and has grown the company into a bicoastal, high-end residential construction firm, while Eve Robinson heads her interior design firm, Eve Robinson Associates. While the two firms do share some clients, the couple rarely work together on the same project, making their collaborations on personal properties, like their Hamptons home with a meditative sunken courtyard designed with Hollander Design Landscape Architects (right), a welcome and fun opportunity to team up. “When we come together to do our own houses, we actually agree 99.99% of the time,” Wiener says. “I’m really lucky that I fell in love with a woman who has great taste.” Their Hamptons residence started as a potato barn before the couple transformed the property into a chic, modern home. “We included our kids—one is 26 and the other 29—in the process, and they had some great ideas,” Robinson adds. “The result is an amazing place to bring people together, which is very important to us.”
