Bunny Williams Sets Up Shop In Converted Grocery Store

Leave it to Bunny Williams to transform an old grocery store in Connecticut into a charming shop filled with goods from more than 40 local artisans.

A proud resident of the idyllic Northwest pocket of the state, the beloved interior designer today opened the doors to her new brick-and-mortar store, 100 Main, in Falls Village. The shop features art, furniture, ceramics, glass, textiles, and more from regional artists like Christopher Spitzmiller, Tom Stonner, Susan Rand, and Shandell’s.

Not only has Williams created a new destination for design lovers, but her revitalization of the property on Main Street (with the help of local builder Seth Churchill) brings new life to the vacant storefront, which had seen a fair share of businesses come and go over the years. “When we decided to buy the only homely building in our town, it immediately came to me that this would be a perfect place to showcase artisans’ work,” she says.

Williams has partnered with Christina van Hengel, whose background is in finance and fashion, who will run the store.
