When Old Palm Beach Meets Hollywood Glam

A Palm Beach waterfront residence gets a neo-traditional makeover with Hollywood Regency overtones.
It’s all about genius of Andrew Sheinman,” exudes one happy homeowner about the virtues of the veteran interior designer who took the excess of small rooms and meandering hallways in her Palm Beach home and turned them into commodious living spaces that factor in the soft tropical surroundings.
Along with designers Kristine Greenblatt and Peggy Gubelman, Sheinman crafted a traditional Palm Beach-meets-contemporary Hollywood glam look that is evident the moment you step onto the stone and grass grid that now forms the auto court and spy the series of crisp black and white awnings.
Inside, the salon-style living room features two sitting areas and dueling sofas–a large deep white tufted model on one end and a to-die-for lush purple velvet couch on the other. Throughout the house, spaces punctuated with wow moments abound.
The top of a round wood table covered with gold paint in the dining room lends a glamorous feel, while Scandinavian glass end tables filled with feathers in the living room add an unexpected touch. In the master bedroom, a velvet headboard against a padded silk wall helps create a sanctuary-like space for the homeowners.
