Catch This Modern American Realism Exhibit In Portland

On View: Modern American Realism

From October 20 through April 28, the Portland Art Museum will debut Modern American Realism: The Sara Roby Foundation Collection, an exhibition of 70 works by artists Will Barnet, Arthur Dove, Jacob Lawrence, Honore Sharrer, Edward Hopper and Morris Graves, which will serve as a window into defining moments in American history from 1910-1980. “The collection has exceptional examples of American realism, many rarely seen in our community,” says Brian Ferriso, the museum’s director and chief curator.
