This Hardware Collection Channels The Aesthetics Of Architecture
New York architecture firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA) has teamed up with Rocky Mountain Hardware, an Idaho-based manufacturer of handcrafted bronze hardware, to create the Oasis Collection.
Inspired by turn-of-the-century architectural movements—from Art Nouveau to Arts and Crafts and early modernism—as well as jewelry, the versatile collection includes door handles, knobs and pulls. Pairing a variety of shapes with finishes ranging from dark bronze to highly polished, Oasis is at home in a variety of settings, whether traditional, transitional or modern.
“We were interested in that sweet spot where things are still in flux,” explains RAMSA architectural designer Thomas A. Day. “Where you have some of the organic qualities, but you’re also playing with the industrial character and nature of objects.”
