At the Fall 2025 High Point Market, the Robert Abbey showroom invited visitors into a study in American craftsmanship shaped by nearly a century of design expertise. The brand, founded in 1935 and still family led, has long been a trusted resource for designers, builders and architects who seek lighting that balances enduring form with expressive finishes. This season, that balance felt especially considered.

Chief Creative Officer Nathan Hedricks greeted guests with the same thoughtful clarity that defines the company’s work. Robert Abbey continues to center its identity on domestic manufacturing, producing an extensive palette of ceramic colors and crafting each shade in-house at its Hickory, North Carolina facility. The result is lighting with a tactility and presence that speaks to both heritage and innovation.

A highlight of this market was the brand’s expanded exploration of color. Rather than relying on traditional whites or soft neutrals, the studio introduced a broader selection of shade palettes designed to pair intentionally with its ceramic finishes. Hedricks described the approach as a way to bring harmony between base and shade, creating pieces that introduce personality without overwhelming a room. The combinations feel tailored, offering designers an opportunity to treat lighting as a meaningful layer within a project rather than a functional afterthought.

Walking through the showroom, it was clear that longevity at Robert Abbey stems from a steady evolution guided by craftsmanship and clarity of vision. In a market where authenticity and material integrity continue to resonate, the brand offers lighting that feels thoughtful, design driven and rooted in place.
