Waldorf Astoria Is Ready For Its Beverly Hills Debut
Blueprint
Waldorf Astoria, Beverly Hills
With a prime location on the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is poised to become a new city landmark. The 12-story, 170-room hotel–designed by Perkins+Will, Gensler and PierreYves Rochon–marks the brand’s first ground-up project on the West Coast. Built in the Streamline Moderne style, the building’s exterior features a glassclad base topped by a white-stone and bronze-accented tower. Inside, the Art Deco styling continues with Ruhlmann-like furniture, Lalique installations and crystal chandeliers. The hotel, slated to open this summer, will offer a restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, a La Prairie spa, a curated art collection and more.
