Art And Historical Details Give A San Francisco Home New Life

An entry stair is the backdrop for a modern light fixture and sculpture.

San Francisco-based interior designer Eche Martinez was tasked to revive the personality and historical charm of a 1926 Presidio Heights home for a young family moving to the city. Restoring the property’s soul began with the entry, where he added traditional checkered stone flooring, a vintage Curtis Jeré brass pendant, and a deconstructed Venus statue by European art collective, Troika.
