10 Spaces All About The Classic Colors Behind Cambria x Gensler’s Quartz Collab

Details

When internationally renown architecture and design firm Gensler approached American quartz leader Cambria at KBIS, discussions about a collaboration led to a clear objective: Create a high-quality surface line fit for both residential and commercial projects. Launched last month, the Coordinates Collection features 14 top-notch options engineered to NCS – Natural Color System standards, guaranteed to be perceived the same way by everyone and on every surface. Here, we explore 10 installations featuring the covetable quartz designs now available through trade professionals and dealers nationwide.

The result of a two-year development process, the collection features pieces named after popular U.S. locations reminiscent of line’s classic black, white and gray designs. The entry to this relaxing spa features contrasting styles in Big Sur Mist, found on the back wall, as well as the dramatic, raven-black Mammoth Cave, which makes a statement on the reception desk.

Evoking visions of the grays and blacks of rooftops peeking from a wintry Colorado landscape, the speckled Vail Village brings a sense of calm to the floor tiles and curved island top of this Scandinavian-inspired kitchen.

In this business space, the moody vibe of the Pacific Northwest comes through in the wall cladding and floating buffet counter in Seattle Rain, as well as the conference table in Pikes Peak.

Patrons of this hotel cafe can enjoy tea or a light lunch over the charcoal veining and abstract shapes of the dining tables in Black Rock. The wall cladding on the back booth walls feature Minnesota Snow.

The charcoal-gray palette of Montana Midnight on the ceiling and elevator fronts perfectly contrasts the neutral ivory and geometric shapes of the wall cladding and floor, seen here in Salt Lake.

Much like the vast Kentucky cavern system, Mammoth Cave carries a sense of drama and adventure into the half-wall cladding of this hotel hallway.

Taking cues from the sleek skyscrapers of the Windy City’s skyline, Chicago Tower brings a modern vibe to the tiles of a luxury office break room, while White Plains, found on the island, countertops and backsplash, reinforces the space’s polished look.

Fall in love with the intimate setting of this modern living room, featuring White Plains on the fireplace hearth, the inky Kentucky Coal on the mantle and the San Francisco-inspired Foggy City on the back library wall.

Providing another example of how White Plains lends a high-end feel, this retail store features the cream and gray surface on its floor tiles, while its inventory pops against the open shelving in Minnesota Snow.

With sustainability top of mind, Gensler and Cambria committed to producing designs with recycled content. Featuring elements from reused Cambria natural quartz slabs, pigments and binders, Big Sur Mist is featured on the walls and floors of this luxurious master math, while Salt Lake tops the floating wood vanity.
