You’ll Want To Pop Some Bubbly At This Retro Poolside Cabana By Gray Malin And Serena & Lily
Lush banana leaves and pops of pink give off major retro vibes, don’t you think?
That’s exactly the feel two celebrated forces hoped to create with the design of a chic cabana at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
Photographer Gray Malin—whose recent projects have made us long for carefree pool days in Palm Beach and swanky apres-ski cocktails in Aspen—let his vibrant style shine when he partnered with Serena & Lily for his debut experiential design project, The Gray Malin Cabana at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
Available for reservation by hotel guests beginning July 14, the poolside paradise nods to the iconic L.A. landmark’s history as a midcentury hotspot with a sampling of Serena & Lily’s effortlessly breezy, coastal pieces, including pink-striped textiles, rattan accents, and hand-stitched blankets and pillows.
Malin’s dreamy artwork, too, dots the space, with images from his Gray Malin at The Beverly Hills Hotel collection depicting glimpses of the hotel’s retro architecture and scenes of visitors pulling up in pastel convertibles.
You’ll sink further into a leisurely state of mind once you spot the “Press for Champagne” button hidden among CW Stockwell’s signature banana leaf print, Martinique—a hotel staple.
“With the tremendous history of the property in mind, I was inspired to create a space that paid homage to its glamorous past while putting a modern and personal spin on my custom cabana experience,” Malin said of the project.
We’ll take two glasses of bubbly, please.
