Pantry Ideas That Blend Form + Function

A Clean-Lined Pantry With Grounded, Earthy Style

Designer Erin Flinn infused this pantry with organic materials and clean lines. Walnut shelves and base cabinets add warmth, while a concrete farmhouse sink and stone counters keep the look grounded. Wooden bowls and natural textures complete the calm, earthy feel.

English Pantry In Celadon Green

Designer Tatum Kendrick says she’s a fan of a good pantry, and the one she designed for her clients is no exception. She carried checkerboard flooring and celadon-hued paint into the space. The brass Van Cronenburg cabinet hardware “checks my inner fancy-lady box,” she notes.

Elegant Teal Pantry

This pantry is “its own little jewel box,” says designer Annette LeCompte. “It could be whatever it wanted.” The bold details include a peacock-blue lacquer cabinetry finish by Fine Paints of Europe, a metallic ceiling paper by Cole & Son and a brass-trimmed countertop.

Deep Green Cabinets With Gold Accents

Designer Alexandra Kaehler craved artwork in her Chicago home's pantry but was limited on space, so she did the next-best thing: Put a graphic motif by London-based designer Beata Heuman on the ceiling. A shimmering mosaic backsplash sourced from the Tile Bar is a light interlude from the jewel-toned cabinetry.

Olive Glass-Front Pantry

Builder Marvin Morris designed and constructed the pantry’s handcrafted leaded-glass doors and cabinetry, which is painted Benjamin Moore Gettysburg Gray and wears Hamilton Sinkler knobs. A marble countertop from Omni Surfaces edges a Copperworks sink with a Barber Wilsons & Co. faucet from Fixtures & Fittings.

Pop Of Color: Turquoise Pantry Inspiration

Designer Shelley Johnstone used natural tones throughout most of this Chicago-area home to enhance the views of the lush property. For the pantry, however, inspired by an exotic bird that was photographed by the homeowner, she infused a pop of color using Benjamin Moore’s Bermuda Turquoise.

Glass Pantry With Chrome Accents

Accents in Iron fabricated this pantry’s glass shelves with plated chrome and supplied the antiqued mirror that backs them. Bellasera Design fabricated the honed Taj Mahal quartzite countertop; art lights from Circa Lighting illuminate the barware.

Glossy Teal Pantry Design

In the pantry of this San Francisco retreat, striking lacquered cabinets by Phoenix Woodworks wear a custom shade of teal and feature hardware by Nest Studio. The countertops are honed Calacatta marble, the backsplash tile is by Ann Sacks and the chandelier is a vintage Markel fixture.

Storybook Wallpaper Pantry Design

Cole & Son’s Savuti Ardmore wallpaper combines with custom brass shelves by Volodko to bring a sense of grandeur to this Charlotte, North Carolina abode's pantry. The cabinetry and ceiling are painted with Benjamin Moore’s Jamestown Blue. Adding to the drama are scalloped soapstone countertops from Walker Zanger, Chautauqua cabinet pulls by Classic Brass and a Newport Brass bridge faucet.

Black Pantry With Brass + Marble Accents

Cabinets by O.B. Williams Company with P. E. Guerin hardware house the family’s dishes and glassware in the pantry of this Seattle dwelling, where behind the rolling library ladder is a Farrow & Ball wallcovering from Kravet. The hanging fixtures are by Visual Comfort & Co., and the antique runner is from the homeowners’ collection.

Minimalist Kitchen Pantry With Open Storage

In Seattle, designer Malcolm Davis designed this residence's kitchen with a pantry–which runs the width of the space and has two entrances–to provide essential storage. Oak engineered flooring, supplied and installed by The Wood Floor Company, offers a warm texture.

Garden-Inspired Green Pantry Design

Designer Melissa Lindsay softened this pantry space with tailored millwork, botanical drapery, and gentle garden light. Positioned between kitchen and breakfast nook, it bridges form and function with quiet elegance.

Sunlit Pantry In Crisp White + Steel

Designer Sheldon Harte paired crisp white millwork with mirrored backsplash panels and stainless‑steel hardware in the pantry of this California desert getaway. Positioned just off the cooking zone, the pantry feels open and ready for hosting—where clean finishes meet casual prep.

Serene Blue Pantry Design

Designer Kate Marker teamed up with builder Patrick Lytle to create a pantry that feels both refined and grounded. Custom cabinetry in a muted gray-blue anchors the space with quiet sophistication, while soapstone countertops from Levantina and woven basket storage introduce tactile warmth. A vintage rug and rustic bench add a timeworn charm, complemented by Jamie Young’s pendant lighting for a soft, classic finish.

Imbued With Coastal Calm

Paying tribute to Lowcountry tradition, this pantry blends historic charm with everyday comfort. Designer Tom Bossard incorporated shiplap walls and soft sage cabinetry that echo the home's coastal roots. A wood countertop warms the palette, while vintage silver, patterned china, and a roman shade in blue lend a genteel, Southern spirit. A classic wood floor and a petite chair by the window bring a lived-in intimacy to the narrow space.
