Dine In Modern Style At The Park West Outpost Of This Restaurant

In many ways, Phoenix is defined by its neighborhoods. So, when a restaurant can play as well in Arcadia as it can in the West Valley, it’s on to something magical. Such is the case for The Vig, a midcentury-inspired hangout that just introduced its latest outpost at Park West, a Peoria shopping center located a stone’s throw from State Farm Stadium.

Encompassing 7,500 square feet, the restaurant and bar celebrate territorial design while retaining the modernist vibe that has made The Vig a go-to in Scottsdale, Arcadia and downtown Phoenix. Four rooms serve different purposes: To start, the lounge nods to nearby Luke Air Force Base with an aluminum-clad horseshoe-shaped bar. Then there’s the semiprivate den, whose stone walls and bookcases make it perfect for small groups. A sun room with skylights and indoor trees harks to Arizona’s essence and a simpler way of life, and outdoor patios lined with olive trees and succulents manage to make you forget you’re in a shopping center.

Look for details like contemporary faux-cowhide chairs, geometric tiles and patinated wood trim throughout the interior. Touches like these give this West Valley destination an unmistakable air of Arizona pride—and they make leaving your own zip code worth the trip.
