Scalamandre Reaches A New Audience Via Furnishings

Details

Legendary New York-based heritage design house Scalamandre has produced decorative textiles for the White House, the grand curtain at the Metropolitan Opera House and numerous historic restorations. Now the 90-year-old company has partnered with home furnishings brand The Inside to bring a collection of its fabric designs to a new audience of decor enthusiasts.

The line comprises four archival patterns, including the iconic Zebra print from the cult classic film The Royal Tenenbaums, as well as its never-before-seen-in-print Leaping Cheetah design. Fabrics can be customized to the client’s furniture of choice.

“Scalamandre is synonymous with gorgeous high-end design,” says Christiane Lemieux, cofounder and CEO of The Inside. “The brand immediately conjures up Jacqueline Kennedy and the golden age of American decorating.” The Inside x Scalamandre collection is available exclusively at theinside.com.
