A newcomer to the neighborhood, the Moxy Chelsea not only boasts 349 guest rooms but also amenities designed by Rockwell Group. In addition to the street-level Italian eatery Feroce Ristorante and the lobby lounge on the second floor, the architectural firm designed The Fleur Room rooftop bar.

After entering from street level, guests are transported to an elegant lounge on the 35th floor with both indoor and outdoor accommodations. Indirect lighting adds to the intimacy of the atmosphere and allows the 360-degree views of the city to shine. Throughout, edgy materials such as rough concrete pair with glamorous touches and furnishings.

You’ll see florals, such as those in custom upholstery from Nuans Design, arrangements by Putnam & Putnam and rugs by Moooi Carpets, all of which recall the Flower District surrounding the hotel.

Further drawing on the garden feel is a hallway linking the bar and lounge that’s lined with replicas of classical sculptures in a nod to the “live” corridor of torchieres in the 1946 French film Beauty and the Beast by filmmaker Jean Cocteau.
