Stripes, checks and plaids (oh, my!) are drawing attention, as seen in these LUXE featured homes.

Florida
For this small home office and lounge in Southwest Florida, designer Joe Human wrapped the walls and ceiling in Porter Teleo’s Painted Plaid wallpaper to “make the room feel fun and interesting” while also creating the illusion of spaciousness.

Colorado
Aiming to foster an “imaginative, dynamic environment” in this child’s room, designer Edel Legaspi employed sculptural forms and graphic patterns, most notably a rug whose abstract markings and saturated blue hues kicked off the Denver room’s design.

Georgia
An Atlanta residence makes a “bold first impression” with its painted entry floor. Designers Deborah Walker and Erin O’Hara chose the black-and-white geometric pattern to complement the Hollywood Regency-inspired architecture, especially the oversize double doors.

Texas
Designers Berkeley Minkhorst and Kelley Lentini anchored this Austin living room with a linear-patterned wool rug whose colors recall those used in adjacent spaces. Its angular design offers a “juxtaposition to the rounded furniture forms.”

Arizona
A “nod to old Hollywood and the Italian Riviera,” this glamorous black-and-white striped Arizona pool was conceived by designer Caroline Tyler DeCesare. It serves as a graphic counterpoint to the adjacent stone loggia.

To inject playful energy into this Houston bathroom, designer Ashton Taylor Oberhauser embellished its walls with a grid-like composition of kaleidoscopic tiles. The room’s tall ceiling and ample natural light “allow the pattern to breathe.”
